Smart home One solution Automation

A smart home that works as one.

CEDAR brings your gate, garage, shutters, awnings, air conditioning and heating system together as one. Everything is in one app on your phone, at home or away — no remotes and no separate apps.

The service

How many remotes are on your table — and how many apps on your phone?

A remote for the garage. A remote for the gate. One for each shutter. An app for the air conditioning. Another for the heating. A third for the awning. None of them knows the others exist.

You leave the house — a round of every room first. A storm comes while you're at work — the awnings stay out. One night an update runs and the shutters stop responding. You call… whom?

The “smart” home made you its system administrator. That isn't smart. That's a second job.

What CEDAR really is

Not another device. The devices are already there — the problem is that each one lives in its own isolated world. CEDAR is the service that turns them into one system and keeps it running.

  • One tested version for every CEDAR site
  • Sensors give early warning and a local response

Works as one

Gate, garage, roller shutters, awnings and air conditioning in one app — and you keep your remotes and apps. One tap on “Leaving”: everything at once.

And your home can do it on its own: the shutters come down against the afternoon sun, the awnings retract when the wind picks up.

  • One app for everything motorised
  • Your remotes keep working

Your own numbers

Electricity metering by appliance, by circuit or for the whole home. One meter on the main distribution board, on individual circuits, or on the sockets and appliances you care about. After a month you can put the figures from the app right next to your electricity bill.

The data stays, even after you change your phone or your internet provider's router.

  • Metering at the main board and on selected circuits
  • Months of history next to every electricity bill.
  • Your data is kept, stored and available to you at any time.
  • We don't promise savings in percent — we promise reliably collected data and accurate figures.

You keep your devices

Show us what you have. The Shelly relays in the wall, IKEA blinds, the motors on the gate and the awnings. Devices the system supports are added to it and remain yours.

We don't sell smart devices and sensors. If you ever leave CEDAR, you leave with every device.

  • CEDAR is built around the idea of secure and reliable communication between devices.
  • A sensor from one brand can trigger a device from another
  • Water under the washing machine — an alert and a local response
  • If you stop the service, every device stays yours

One call

When a DIY system stops working, there's no one to call. When an integrator's system stops working, they get back to you next week.

CEDAR is designed so that when a problem appears at your home, we know before you do.

  • Your home itself tells us whether everything is working.
  • Scheduled updates.
  • One number, answered by a person — not an automated operator.

FAQ

Smart home — straight answers to the questions people ask us

Does it work when the internet goes down?
Yes. All rules run inside your home. Only remote access and the notifications on your phone pause — they come back when the connection does.
Who decides when there's an update?
Every CEDAR site runs one tested version. New versions are rolled out on a schedule.
Do I have to throw away the devices I already have?
No. Once we've looked at the devices and sensors you own, those that meet CEDAR's standards will be kept.
If I stop the service, what stays mine?
Everything. The devices are yours and keep working with their own apps. So does the data collected.
Where is my data stored?
In your home. Only encrypted backups to European storage and the “all is well” signal leave the house.
How do I control my home remotely?
Through an app on your smartphone — iOS or Android.
Is this an alarm system?
No. CEDAR gives early warning and a local response to smoke, leaks and a door opened at an unusual hour. It is not a certified intruder or fire alarm system and does not replace one.

CEDAR — works as one.

How it works — in four steps

We don't sell devices or a do-it-yourself system, nor a closed system with no options for further connectivity and adaptation.
We offer a complete solution that integrates with the specifics of your home — new or already lived in.
Here's what happens after you call.

Site visit

A visit to your property. An assessment of what can be automated and connected. We tell you honestly what can be connected now and what could be with certain adaptations.

Consultation

We go through the findings of the visit and what you want to achieve. We propose a solution that fits your home and budget: which devices stay, which are added and what the system will do.

Installation

We install and set up the system, connect the existing devices that meet our standards and add what's missing.
You test it with us, and we show you how it works.

Maintenance

The system is continuously monitored, we make backups and update it on a schedule. A phone number answered by a person, not a call-centre robot.

Four promises, in writing

These promises follow from the way CEDAR is built — not from a setting that could be changed. That's exactly why we put them in writing.

Works without internet.

Every rule runs inside your home. If the connection drops, only two things pause: remote access and the notifications on your phone. Everything in your home keeps working.

Nothing changes unless you ask for it.

Every CEDAR site runs the same tested version. New versions are rolled out on a schedule.

Your home is accessible only to you.

Nothing on the internet can connect to your home — except you, through the app. The only way in is a secured service channel for maintenance — kept separate from monitoring, so one cannot affect the other.

Predictable by design.

We choose components for their reliability. Predictability is the feature we design for. Your home sends us an “all is well” signal every five minutes — and only after its checks have passed.
